You can still apply for our 4th International Summer School

The Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor is organising the Fourth International Summer School titled

“Integrating the Movement of People and Freight with Modern Society 2.0”.

The Summer School will take place in Celje, from

8 to 18 June 2016.

The central topic of this year’s Summer School is the integration of the movement of people and freight with modern society 2.0. The main goal is to gain knowledge from the field of sustainable logistics and transport in the region and globally, issues related to the pollution of the Earth and challenges we face, renewable energy sources, to deepen knowledge from the field of corporate communication and business ethics as well as to become acquainted with examples of good practice.

Interesting lectures, seminars and workshops will be given by professors from the Faculty of Logistics and by internationally renowned lecturers, including Prof. Dr. Kenneth Button from the George Mason University, the USA,  Dr. Andre Kreie, project Manager with the Kuehne-Foundation based in Schindellegi, Switzerland and also a Vice Dean at the German Academy for Foreign Trade and Logistics (DAV) in Bremen, Germany, Dr. Zoltan Szegedi, full Professor  of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Head of the Major Organisation and Management at Szechenyi Istvan University and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anna Voroshilova from the Siberian State Aerospace University (SibSAU), Russia.

This years’ courses are:

  • Sustainable Transport and Renewable Energy Sources
  • Corporate Communication and Business Ethics
  • Strategic Sustainable Logistics and Transport Planning.

And they have been adapted for the Summer School.

One of the goals of the Summer School is the networking of domestic and foreign students as well as professors, which is why free time will be spent taking part in cultural events in Celje, the city of counts, as well discovering its cultural heritage.

On top of that…

All the participants of the Summer School will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance. The students who will successfully fulfil the study requirements of the Summer School will be awarded a certificate of successful completion of exams with 3 credit points.
