For the fifth year in a row, the Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor is organising the international Summer School in Logistics, titled »New Solutions and Innovations in Logistics and Transportation«.
The summer school will take place in Celje, from 28 May to 3 June 2017.
This year’s programme of the Summer School, titled »New Solutions and Innovations in Logistics and Transportation«, is aimed at graduate and postgraduate students and all others interested in deepening their knowledge from the field of sustainable logistics, transport planning, pollution and related issues, and renewable energy in logistics as well as in learning about examples of good practice.
Interesting lectures, seminars and workshops will be given by the professors from the Faculty of Logistics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Borut Jereb and Assist. Prof. Matjaž Knez, as well as by the esteemed and internationally renowned lecturer, Prof. Dr. Tariq Muneer from the Edinburgh Napier University, the UK, in the courses Sustainable Transport and Renewable Energy in Logistics, and Pollution as the Result of Traffic in Urban Areas, which are specially designed for the Summer School at the Faculty of Logistics at UM.
Summer School Programme also includes participation in the traditional scientific conference, which has been ranked among the top ten logistics events worldwide and titled »Logistics and Sustainable Transport«. The conference discusses most recent trends in the field of sustainable logistics and transport in the region and worldwide. The conference will take place in Opatija and is expected to gather renowned and worldwide acclaimed lecturers.
The academic programme of the Summer School is complemented by a social programme providing opportunities for networking of domestic and foreign students as well as professors. Free time activities will thus include taking part in cultural events in Celje, the city of counts, as well discovering its historical sites.
All the participants of the Summer School will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance. The participants who will successfully fulfil the study requirements of the Summer School will be awarded a certificate of successful completion of exams with 4 credit points.
