This year the Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor is organising the 4th International Summer School on Logistics titled »Integrating the Movement of People and Freight with Modern Society 2.0«.
The Summer School will be held at the Faculty in Celje, from 8 to 18 June 2016.
The central topic of this year’s Summer School is the integration of the movement of people and freight with modern society 2.0. The main goal is to gain knowledge from the field of sustainable logistics and transport in the region and globally, issues related to the pollution of the Earth and challenges we face, renewable energy sources, to deepen knowledge from the field of corporate communication and business ethics as well as to become acquainted with examples of good practice.
Interesting lectures, seminars and workshops will be given by professors from the Faculty of Logistics and by internationally renowned lecturers, including Prof. Dr. Tariq Muneer from the Edinburgh Napier University, the UK, Prof. Dr. Kevin Cullinane from the Gothenburg University, Sweden, Prof. Dr. Kenneth Button from the George Mason University, the USA, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anna Voroshilova from the Siberian State Aerospace University (SibSAU), Russia. Lectures for the courses ‘Sustainable Transport and Renewable Energy Sources’, ‘Corporate Communication and Business Ethics’, and ‘Strategic Sustainable Logistics and Transport Planning’ are specially designed for the 4th Summer School at the Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor and will be delivered at the Faculty building in Celje.
The academic programme of the Summer School is complemented by a social programme providing opportunities for networking of domestic and foreign students as well as professors. Free time activities will include taking part in cultural events in Celje, the city of counts, as well discovering its historical sites.
All the participants of the Summer School will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance. The students who will successfully fulfil the study requirements of the Summer School will be awarded a certificate of successful completion of exams with 3 credit points.
