The Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor is organising
the Third International Summer School titled
“Lean and Green”.
The Summer School will take place in Celje, from
6 to 15 June 2015.
The title and theme of this year’s Summer School are aimed at gaining new knowledge about the pollution of the planet and challenges we face, redesigning of production processes through the use of the lean approach, the role and importance of people in logistics as well as examples of good practice.
Interesting lectures, tutorials and workshops will take place at the Faculty in the framework of the courses:
- Green logistics and Sustainable Transport,
- Lean Production Logistics and
- Human Resources as an Important Factor in Logistics.
These courses have been adapted for the Summer School.
This year the University of Maribor celebrates its fortieth anniversary and the activities of the Summer School will be carried out in honour of this anniversary. The Faculty of Logistics also celebrates its anniversary this year. It celebrates its tenth anniversary of becoming a member of the University of Maribor.
One of the goals of the Summer School is the networking of domestic and foreign students as well as professors, which is why free time will be spent taking part in cultural events in Celje, the city of counts, as well discovering its cultural heritage.
On top of that…
All the participants of the Summer School will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance. The students who will successfully fulfil the study requirements of the Summer School will be awarded a certificate of successful completion of exams with 3 credit points.
